About Me
This page is about me, where I make an impact in the lives of students and other things I love to do.
My Family
My family!
I live with my wife, Diana and our two children Kallie (left) and Judah (right). My wife supports me in tremendous ways that keeps me going. Judah, well, he keeps me on my feet and helps me think about what it means to learn while Kallie's personality is still something worth seeing in the future. Let us just say that I look forward to seeing how they will grow and develop along the way.

The Eastern International Baccalaureate Magnet High School is the only high school in mid-Michigan authorized to offer students the opportunity to earn a prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma. The IB program is intended to promote the development of the whole person as a conscientious, contributing member of a global society. Students will be encouraged to explore new avenues of thought, expand their interests, and investigate areas above and beyond the normal curriculum.

LCC is strategically positioned to provide not only what students determined that they will need, but also what our society will need in the future. |
What I teach

I am currently teaching math courses at Lansing Eastern High School and have taught Algebra 1, Geometry and the International Baccalaureate Math Studies course. I also teach Pre-Calculus I at Lansing Community College
In addition to teaching math, I am also a highly qualified physical educator. Other than helping out with a few substitute teaching opportunities before I undertook my current posting, I try to keep up-to-date in this subject.

Sports and Coaching
Eastern playing East Lansing
I am definitely a lover of sports and continue to remain involved by my participation as a coach. I have coached football since the fall of 2006 in Loy Norrix High School, Bath High School and now currently for the Lansing Eastern High School Quaker football team.
I have also been coaching for Bath Middle School in Track and Field as a shot put specialist since the Spring of 2009. My years of coaching has helped me grow as an educator.

The Great Outdoors
At Cedar Campus in Cedarville, MI
Whether it is camping, hiking, kayaking or fishing, I have a true fondness for the outdoors. When I say the outdoors, I do not just mean the Alaskan wilderness; I mean that I appreciate being in nature in most forms. I like the beautiful beaches of Michigan but would not mind visiting the beautiful beaches of Hawaii. Let us just say that my adventures in the wilderness are also limited by circumstances. In any case, I hope to share these same values with my child.
My Values
There are many things that I can list when describing my values. Some of the values that I want to embody are integrity, honesty, caring, commitment, willingness to learn and trustworthy. While much criticism can be made of the culture that we live in, I want to remain a steady and good role model to my students and child to show that such values are meaningful in today's culture. I am an active participant in my church and have strong beliefs in how our values shape our growth. We are not born to be the person we are today.
